Overton tackles LOLMDS doubleheader in Indiana and Kentucky
Brandon Overton and the Riggs Motorsports team returned to the road with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series this past weekend, competing in events across Indiana and Kentucky.
Overton entered Friday’s event at Circle City Raceway as the defending winner from 2025 but got off to a slow start. After slipping two positions in his heat race to finish fifth, he rebounded in the feature by gaining four spots to record a ninth-place finish.
On Saturday at Florence Speedway for the Ralph Latham Memorial, Overton raced his way into the $25,000-to-win A-Main with a runner-up finish in his heat. He ran as high as fourth in the feature before contact with an infield tire on a late restart dropped him back to 12th.
Overton currently sits sixth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
