Brandon Overton Steers to Spring Nationals Victory at Tazewell Speedway

Collects $21,000 for Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial Triumph

EVANS, Ga. (April 6, 2026) — Brandon Overton found redemption in a big way Saturday night, capturing a $21,000 Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals victory in the annual Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial at Tazewell Speedway.

Piloting the Riggs Motorsports / Budweiser No. 76 Longhorn Chassis Late Model, Overton secured his 13th career tour victory after a rollercoaster start to the weekend.

“First off, this (win) is for my guys. They busted their butts,” Overton said after Saturday night’s win. “The track, as soon as I got the lead, I could kinda feel it starting to latch down and so it was my race to lose. I was trying not to crash with the (lapped cars) and just be smart."

The Evans, Georgia, native’s triumph came after a frustrating opening to the three-race swing. Overton appeared poised for victory in Thursday’s event at Tennessee’s I-75 Raceway, leading the opening 16 laps before spinning in turn two. He restarted at the tail but was unable to recover and ultimately retired.

Misfortune continued on Friday at Wythe Raceway in Virginia, where Overton pulled off during the feature.

Returning to form on Saturday at Tazewell Speedway, Overton advanced into the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial A-Main with a heat race victory. He took control of the race on lap 23, overtaking Kaede Loudy, and drove away to secure his sixth win of the season.
