Brandon Overton Sweeps Winter Freeze XVI at Screven Motor Speedway

EVANS, Ga. (Feb. 9, 2026) — Brandon Overton enjoyed a storybook weekend at Screven Motor Speedway, completing a dominant sweep of the Winter Freeze XVI and celebrating the milestone moment in Victory Lane with a special guest—his daughter.
The Evans, Georgia native was nearly untouchable throughout the Southern All Star doubleheader, backing up a preliminary victory on Friday with a $25,000 triumph in Saturday night’s finale.
The weekend sweep pushed his total earnings to $35,000 aboard the Riggs Motorsports / Budweiser No. 76 Longhorn Chassis Late Model and marked his third consecutive victory in the state of Georgia, following a win in the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series opener at Waycross Motor Speedway just one week earlier.
“I was so damn nervous because I knew (my daughter) was here tonight. That’s more pressure than anybody could put on me,” Overton said after completing the sweep. “I’m like, ‘Damn my little girl’s here. I just want to win one for her.’ "
Overton set the tone early by earning fast-time honors on Friday with a blistering 14.593-second lap. He went on to dominate his heat race before leading wire-to-wire in the 35-lap feature, navigating multiple restarts to secure the $10,000 preliminary victory.
On Saturday, Overton picked up right where he left off, once again winning his heat race to earn a spot in the main event. He withstood early pressure from Daulton Wilson before pulling away late to capture his sixth career Winter Freeze victory, further cementing his dominance at the track located less than 90 miles from his hometown.

Overton will return to action this week as the 55th annual Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals continue at Volusia Speedway Park. The schedule includes three DIRTcar-sanctioned events from Monday through Wednesday, followed by three World of Outlaws Late Model Series events.
