Top-10's with World of Outlaws at Needmore and Senoia
Brandon Overton kicked off a busy weekend of racing early, piloting the Riggs Motorsports Longhorn Factory Team No. 76 Late Model into action on Thursday night at Volunteer Speedway (Tenn.) for the Scott Bloomquist Memorial.
With 41 entries on hand for Round 7 of the FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota miniseries, Overton finished fourth in his heat race, earning a spot in the main event. However, his night ended early after pulling off on lap 19 of the feature.
On Friday, Overton joined the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series at Needmore Speedway in his home state of Georgia for a 40-lap showdown. After starting deep in the field, he rallied forward eight positions to notch a 10th-place finish.
Capping off the weekend on Saturday at Senoia Raceway, Overton posted the second-fastest time in his qualifying group before winning his heat race. In the Billy Clanton Classic A-Main, which offered a $15,000 winner’s purse, he led the opening six laps of the 50-lap feature before ultimately crossing the line in seventh.
