Overton fifth in Hillbilly Hundred at Lernerville Speedway
Brandon Overton and the Riggs Motorsports Longhorn Factory Team rolled into Lernerville Speedway as the Pennsylvania oval played host to the relocated Hillbilly Hundred.
The Labor Day weekend opened on Friday with a $10,000-to-win preliminary, where Overton registered a 10th-place finish. He then raced his way into Saturday’s $30,000-to-win Hillbilly Hundred by transferring through a consolation race. Rolling off 21st in the A-Main, Overton stormed forward 16 positions to finish fifth, earning the Hoker Trucking Hard Charger of the Race honors.
Overton capped the weekend with a stop at Eldora Speedway on Sunday, where he recorded another fifth-place finish in the Earl Baltes Classic feature.
