Eighth-place finish in Topless 100 at Batesville
Brandon Overton and the Riggs Motorsports Longhorn Factory Team joined 43 competitors at Batesville Motor Speedway over the weekend for the 33rd annual Nutrien Ag Solutions Topless 100 presented by Big River Steel.
With twin preliminaries on Friday setting the stage for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) weekend, Overton struggled in his heat but rebounded in his 25-lap preliminary, advancing four positions to finish eighth.
Starting from the eighth row in Saturday’s $50,000-to-win finale, Overton powered forward eight spots during the 100-lap A-Main to secure an eighth-place finish.
He currently sits seventh in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
