Brandon Overton finishes third in Hunt the Front's King of the Mountain

Series point leader Brandon Overton took on the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series over the weekend for Saturday’s King of the Mountain at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.).

Aboard his Coltman Farms Racing sponsored No. 76 Late Model, Overton backed up the second-fastest effort in his 22-car group with an unchallenged heat race win. Chasing the $15,000 payday in the feature, Brandon rolled to a consistent third-place finish in the 50-lap affair. He stalked race-long pacesetter Ryan Gustin for the majority of the race before losing a spot to veteran Dale McDowell following a lap-43 restart, docking him to third in the finishing order.

Overton holds a 14-point advantage atop the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series point standings.
